This is exactly what I needed. I turned the shelf around so I would have a lip in the front to keep things from sliding off. My stove has a curve and leans a little forward. Also test the top of your stove to make sure it is not aluminum. Mine was and the magnets did not work. So added Velcro command strips to keep it on.

Took out of the box and placed it on stove. Can not get any easier than that. The magnets are strong, so make sure you know where you are putting it, so not to scratch top of stove. My stove (as you can see by picture) is slightly curved, but it works great. This little shelf comes ready to install, took less than a minute to open & place. I put it on backwards from how the company shows it because I wanted the lip to keep things from falling onto the stove top. Didn’t know I needed it til I saw it and love it! I keep my seasonings in the cabinet but this allows me to organize my seasonings as I’m cooking which allows for more counter space. It’s depth allows for two rows of seasonings. One of the major things I love it that there’s NOTHING to put together. It attaches straight from the box in one solid piece. The magnets are made into the product and extremely sturdy. It attaches to the stove like magic and is a perfect fit. Okay, so, the top of my stove (GE) is really curved, and also slants down toward the front. I thought I’d have to return this shelf, but I tried putting it on BACKWARDS, with the “lip” facing forward, and it works perfectly! The lip is just tall enough to keep everything from sliding off. I have it fully loaded with spice mills and an oil sprayer, and it hasn’t budged once. The magnet is STRONG on this product!

When I initially received this item I felt the magnets were not quite strong enough to hold the shelf as securely as I hoped. I think this had more to do with the design of my stove than the design of this shelf. I am also storing some heavy items as you can see in my photo.Feeling a little disappointed, I contacted customer service who kindly offered me an additional 4 magnets. It initially came with only 2 magnets. The two magnets are surprisingly strong for their size, but with the additional magnets this baby is going to be rock solid!This shelf looks fantastic and frees up tons of my limited counter space. For reference, that is a full-size bottle of Siracha on the far end of my shelf and I believe a quart-sized bottle of vegetable oil.The price point may feel a little high, but rest assured that you are getting a quality product backed by some great customer service.5 stars!

I loved this shelf and was annoyed with myself when I realized my new stove’s “ledge” where my new beloved shelf was to rest, was not magnetic! My mistake. I wanted this shelf to work…so I used two “Command Strips” on the underside of the shelf, where there were two magnets. I removed the magnets and attached the Command strips instead. PERFECT!! I love this shelf for my salt & peppers and cute things. So glad I bought it. If your stove isn’t magnetized, you can still use this handy shelf! LOVE IT!

We have a Samsung, and someone posted a picture about the magnets maybe affecting their sensors (the image showed a Samsung) We’ve had ZERO issues! The shelf is sturdy, holds a lot, and closes the gap between my wall and our stove nicely so things don’t fall back there (we have a raised power outlet on the floor, can’t move stove all the way to wall). This shelf arrived without any dings or dents, and with the two magnets as advertised. I was concerned that it would not fit my range properly because of a very slight downward slant at the front of my stove top clock/control area. I simply readjusted the magnets from the vertical to the horizontal position by sliding them where I needed them to be. I also added one DIYMAG N52 Neodymium Disc Magnet at each of the shelf ends, and the shelf is so secure that I am able to push it closer toward the back wall, without any concern about anything falling from the shelf. It lies perfectly level side to side, and front to back. I chose the all stainless steel finish and it looks great on the black range top back. The metal appears to be about the thickness of an average stainless steel knife blade, and is sturdy enough to hold a fair amount of weight. I think that this product is worth the $40.00 price, because it should last many years of daily use. I recommend this StoveShelf.

This is a great shelf. It’s so easy to install. Open box and set on top of stove back. Bam done. I ordered the 30″ size and it fits perfect. Now I don’t have to worry about things falling behind my new stove. My old stove fit closer to the wall than my new one. This is a nice stainless steel shelf but it’s not the shiny or polished stainless steel like on your appliances, it’s more like an industrial stainless steel. I turned mine around so the higher lip is in the front so your spices don’t fall on the stove when you are opening and closing your oven.

Our stove is slightly curved and the top where the shelf sits has a lip and isn’t completely flat. I took a pic and sent it to the seller asking if he thought it would still work. He promptly replied with a yes. So I ordered it and am so glad I did. The top not being completely flat doesn’t make any difference at all. The slight curve prevents the edge of the shelf from sitting flush across the width but you can’t tell at all. It’s sturdy, the magnets are strong and it holds several spice jars creating a finished look. I definitely recommend this product!

I actually don’t want to use it as storage because I don’t have much I want in the heat and splashes from the stove, but whatever. Not losing stuff down back is the point for me.I haven’t had a regular oven with a gap this millennium and my kids never, so I didn’t want to deal with stuff going back there. Also, my oven space is too narrow, it’s so wedged in I may not be able to pull it out again.Now all I need is something for the gaps at the back on the side below. Hadn’t thought of magnets, so I guess I’ll hack something similar with roof flashing.I love how the packaging shows pride in the product.Actually, I wish it was a little deeper, like 4.5 inches instead of 3.5 ish. When perfectly flat onto the stove it doesn’t go all the way to the wall. I tipped it to push it back…magnets are partially in contact and it still works ok to do the job, just looks less flush, less sleek.

While this shelf did not work for my stove and I had to return it, it was just what I needed. The people at Stove Shelf were very helpful in assisting me with my refund. If they make the shelf with stronger magnets I will be first in line to order. I received my refund as soon as they had receipt of my FED EX tracking number. Again as stated above it was exactly what I was looking for, looked great, but did not work for my stove.

This sounds stupid….please make sure before you order that the top of your stove is actually metal. Don’t just assume that chrome like piece that looks metal is metal as it may not be. I am so thrilled with this shelf. It works just the way I wanted without the magnets. Quick explanation, my stove is a professional style stove and magnets will not stick to it, so they weren’t needed. I wanted this shelf for the top of my stove, but I wanted to use it upside down so the long lip went down between the stove and the wall. I also wanted the small lip to keep things from slipping off the front of the stove, so using the shelf upside down was the perfect solution. It works perfectly for my purpose. Anyway, I love it! Now I can put things on the back of my stove and not worry about anything falling off and possibly catching on fire!! I included some photos. The third one is of my stove without the shelf.

This shelf is high quality and I’m very happy with it. Only one issue came up. My new stove is plastic on top, with just one small strip of metal that the attached magnets could not reach all the way. It stayed on and looks and works great but it was not real secure. I think something heavy toward the front would have made it come tumbling forward. What I did was use some 30# double sided tape. Cut it into two small strips and centered the shelf. Marked it underneath so I know where to apply the take and presto, it’s super secure. If I ever want to take it off, just use a hair dryer, heat the tape and take it off. They may want to include two small strips of tape in furtive shipments. This products is great and will really last. Well worth it.

Bought to fill the gap between the stove and wall and increase storage space. Perfect size for a collection of spoon rests and pinch bowls. Made with good stainless steel, the nonmagentic type (austenitic). Was concerned about fitting the curvature of the stove, but fits just fine and the magnets are holding strong. The stove is black and stainless, and at first glance, this looks original to the stove.My only suggestion would be beveling the sharp corners a teeny tad. Hasn’t been an issue so far, but careful taking it out of the box and and during the 15-second install. 🙂

It’s a nice idea but it does not fit a curved top stove and also the magnets do not stick to stainless steel the unit should have some other kind Of attachment like glue pads or something it has nice storage capacity and It is Sturdy for a flat top stove stove would be OK except for the magnets on stainless steel which they do not stick

My kitchen is really small, so I have to capitalize on all of the storage space I have. I wanted this to be able to put some spices and olive oil on. It holds up a couple of spices and my spoon rest, but a small container of olive oil I just don’t trust, it isn’t sturdy enough. The part of my oven that this attaches to with the magnet is probably an inch thick, so if I have anything toward the back edge of this stove shelf, it’ll tip. It might work better for ovens with thicker back portion–the kind with knobs/controls/clock on it.

Since the magnets are basically all in the middle, it doesnt adhere correctly and easily slids off. Magnets would be better on the ends and vertical. I ended up folding over duck tape to make both sides sticky and ran it the length and adhered it that way.

So far the customer service has been great. Unfortunately my product arrived bent! But, I received a full refund for my order and didn’t have to return the bent shelf. I’ve ordered a new one, again. I’ll update this when it arrives (shipping takes a while!). I’m excited to have this shelf; although it was bent and didn’t fit properly, I could tell that it will be good fit for my stove and the magnets are pretty strong.

I love the shelf. It looks great on the back of my new stainless steel cooking stove. The is a gap behind my stove and the shelf tilted backwards a bit. I just added thicker magnets toward the back of the shelf until the shelf was level and moved the existing magnets toward the front. Works like a charm!

This is a well made product with really strong magnets but it is not working well for my stove. My stove is slightly rounded at the top and no matter what angle I put this at, it’s not going to be sturdy enough. The magnets are too strong for me to be able to keep the angle it should be at, but if the magnets were not strong, you wouldn’t be able to rely on it for items.Buying a new home soon, so hopefully this product will work on a different oven.

I purchased this to put my salt & pepper shakers on it as well as a few frequently used spices. It is a sturdy piece. Was pleased with it. Unfortunately, my stoves top is rounded & even though I read some said it worked for theirs with a slight hump in their tops, I figured I’d try it. My top is all rounded so it doesn’t fit firmly as a flat one. This is no fault of the product or manufacturer. Was pleased otherwise with the product. Just simply did not work. DARN!!🙄

This solved my problem when my new Stove didn’t fit up against the back wall, it was a 3″ gap. I knew that meant sooner or later something I kept on that top sill of the Stove (oven timer, salt & pepper shakers, etc.) would slip off & fall behind the Stove creating a nightmare trying to get it back out from behind there. I looked at several Stove shelves on Amazon & selected this one & am thrilled with it. My gap is now reduced drastically & the back lip of the new shelf will prevent items from slipping off & falling behind the Stove. It has two strong magnets ensuring it stays in place. I bought 2 one for home and one for our cabin. The one in our home is amazing!!! No more dropped salt and pepper grinders on my glass stove top. I even have room to add my most used spices.The one for our cabin is for a gas stove so it isn’t fitting as well. I am going to add some stops the next time were are there and that should fix the problem. The magnets are very strong and work perfect.

This is a good shelf but…After putting it in place, the oven controls would not operate properly. Since we didn’t use the oven for the first several days after installation, we never realized the shelf had caused a problem. Even after the first baked casserole did not cook properly, we didn’t make the connection. We chalked that up to my male culinary skills on a new recipe.A few days later, the wife, with better culinary skills, on a regular recipe informed me that the oven was malfunctioning. After some troubleshooting, we figured out that the magnets were messing with the electronic controls.To solve the problem, we moved the magnets to the outside edge of the range backsplash control unit. See arrows on photo.I find it hard to believe this issue hasn’t popped up before, and appropriate warning given.

Our new stove sits further away from the wall than the old one, so the items I usually keep on the back were in danger of falling behind and becoming wedged in the extra space. This shelf turned out to be the perfect solution to the problem! The item is sturdy and the stainless finish I chose to match the stove blends in seamlessly. It was also installed in mere seconds as advertised via the two attached magnetic strips along the bottom of each side. The magnets also have a protective covering along the bottom, so I’m not worried about causing scratches to the stove while using the shelf. Customer service was also amazingly responsive to a minor issue that came up with shipping, contacting me almost immediately to resolve my problem and actually following through on their promises. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy, unlike what’s typical from most other companies. I’m very happy with both the shelf and response in dealing with the manufacturer and would purchase from them again without hesitation.

The shelf is made for 30″ stoves and fits perfectly. Our stove’s back was slightly curved and could not hold any items. With this shelf, we now can store a timer, essential condiments, like salt and garlic powder, a pepper shaker and several other items used frequently. My apartment’s kitchen is very tiny and there wasn’t a lot of cabinet space either. I was looking at adding a shelf on top of the stove when I saw this alternative. The magnets are strong enough to keep the shelf stuck on top of your stove and the ‘shelf’ is large enough to put medium-size jars on it. I was able to fit 4 large spice bottles, a jar of minced garlic, tiny sauce plates, a timer, and two small spice bottles.Mine did arrive with a small defect but the seller was quick and responsive (Scott) and was easy to deal with.I will be buying this for my mom and definitely recommending it to everybody else! Don’t let the space go to waste!

This product is AMAZING….seriously opened box and walked to oven and the magnets attached right on! Boom, Done! The magnets are quite strong and seem to have attached a sturdy hold on the stove itself. My stove is brand new and has a slight curve to the top and this attached right on and made a flat surface to allow for some storage that was not possible before. I have white stove and purchased the stainless shelf to match my stainless small kitchen appliances….It created a very modern look.

This is a beautiful shelf and fits perfectly to cover the gap between the wall and the range. I thought it was a bit expensive. I put a strip of blue foam window insulation under it so it wouldn’t scratch the range. Looks great!

I ordered this on a whim because I desperately need any extra storage space I can get in my kitchen. Bed purchase I’ve made in a long time!! It’s super easy to install, I just set it on top of the stove and pushed it back against the wall. It has strong magnets on the bottom, so it’s really sturdy. I can fit everything I need when cooking up there. I have my most used oils and some honey on there now, and there’s still plenty of room for my salt and pepper and anything else I think I might want there!

The magnets are expoxied to the shelf, which is a piece of stainless steel. As I was lowering the shelf into place both magnets pulled free of their blobs of messy glue and flew onto my stove, leaving me holding a worthless piece of stainless steel and 2 very strong magnets stuck to my stove.

Right after I placed this order, I went downstairs and noticed I had a switch on top of my oven for the oven light. I though “oh crap!” But I did remember seeing somewhere that this worked on uneven surfaces so I figured I would give it a shot but was skeptical it could handle a light switch. Well…it worked out fine!! This improved the look in my kitchen and gave me a place to place some decorative items or spices. If the oven door closes to hard, the items could fall so be aware of that.

The shelf looks very nice, the only reason I gave it 4 starts is bc it wasn’t really stable enough for me to put anything on it. It’s possible that’s bc of the type / set up of the oven in my kitchen, but I did take another reviewer’s suggestion that I read which was to add some velcro strips and that helped and I’m able to put one item on there.

We have an old gas stove at our house and if anything falls behind it, you may as well consider it an offering to your house, because you’re never going to get it back. I no longer have that problem.It took me longer to open the box than it did to install it. The old issue of the magnets being held on with epoxy is fixed; it comes with two rubber coated magnets that you can move around. I really thought ‘just two?’ but that shelf is not going anywhere. Wiggle the magnets to where you want it and pop it in place. The end.Magnets are solid; metal is not flimsy and weak; the back ledge is high enough (but not too high) to be an effective barrier, and it has improved my stove. As the box says, I did “revel in my decision”. Well worth the money.

This is perfect and I’m obsessed. Where has this contraption been all my life? We basically freed up the cabinet above the stove which we messily stored our spices/oils and such. Now, the things we use the most are right in front of us. And more things fit than expected! Like our olive oil dispenser, nonstick cooking spray, a whole canister of sea salt. Also it’s magnetic so you literally just snap it on to your oven. This was the biggest bang for your buck sort of organization product I’ve gotten for my kitchen!

It moves so wouldn’t put heavy things on it. And since it’s steel, it tends to get hot when the stove/oven is on so wouldn’t be ideal to have things permanently stored there. But the purpose of this was for food not to fall in the crack behind the oven, which is hard to clean. This meets that need and looks nice too.

The shelf installed in a snap. It has two sturdy magnets that hold it securely onto the slightly rounded back of my stove. I felt comfortable setting a full jar of honey on it, and I haven’t seen it move at all as I have been cooking. I have limited space in the kitchen, so I’m really happy to have an additional place to set things I need frequently. It doesn’t look like an add-on; it looks like part of the stove. I’m really happy with it!

I recently bought a new stove but was frustrated that it sat further away from the wall than my previous stove. I couldn’t keep any seasonings or decorations or anything on the top of the stove without it falling. I tried to think of ways to fix the problem but was coming up short. So I just did a search on Amazon for “oven shelf” or something like that. That’s when I found this gem. OMG. This is perfect! We use this mainly to keep crumbs from falling behind the stove as we have a very low back to our stove. The size is great. It covers our stove entirely plus about an extra inch on each side. It is long enough to put eight 1 pound canisters of salt on it. I chose not to secure this to the wall with a screw as we don’t really put much on top. But it has been great for what we wanted it for, which was to prevent food and grease from going behind the stove. I just wish it came with more magnets. They provide two VERY strong magnets to hold this in place but I wish the provided four for greater sturdiness for people who do wish to put something heavier on top and don’ t want to drill into their wall. It’s super easy to clean and comes in different styles to blend right in with your stove. Nice product, just buy a couple extra magnets if you are going to put anything real heavy on top.

I essentially had to install mine backwards. My stove is slanted forward slightly and my glass oil bottle kept sliding off. To avoid it falling off and shattering, I put the stove shelf on backwards to make a little lip to keep everything in place. I know the way my stove is made isn’t the sellers fault, but I wish there was already a smaller lip on the front so the back part was still able to lay flush against the wall. My husband is still happy with his gift though so that’s all that matters.

I use the magnetic stove shelf for a scented candle, salt and pepper shakers and my vinegar decanter. I use the shakers and the vinegar every meal, so the shelf provides easy access and storage for these items. The shelf was a snap to install–just take it out of the package and stick it on the stove. It’s very sturdy and easy to clean. I highly recommend it. The magnet is strong and holds really well.

My only regret is that I didn’t buy this YEARS ago. I have a teeny tiny kitchen, so every space counts. This gave me a whole new shelf and opened up a ton of counter space that had been cluttered with overflow spices/oils. Shipped faster than expected, couldn’t be easier to attach, and works perfectly. My stove sits far enough forward that the shelf doesn’t reach to the wall behind it, but since it has a little lip along the back, it still looks and functions just fine. If your kitchen space is limited, this is a great help.

We received yesterday the 30” SS over the stove magnetic shelf. Unfortunately, there was a large visible dent in the shelf. Unfortunately, I took it upon myself to help my wife in organizing her “no-husband” zone of her kitchen. I made the purchase without her knowing about it, only to receive her “gentle” scolding for doing that which was not in my jurisdiction. The shelf may not have come at the perfect moment, especially with a dent! This of course, all transpired on her birthday! Fortunately, though the wife did not like the shelf (likely because I entered the “kitchen zone” without permission!) and it was also dented in shipment (factory?) besides. This company, however, fully refunded our money and there is no mention of having to go through the hassle of shipping it back (which would add further frustration to my wife, if I had to!). This company really stands behind its product! You can buy from this company with full confidence!

All you do is set it on top of your stove and voila! I have a small valley kitchen and I am always trying to find innovative ways for storage. If your doing the same… look no further! I like this shelf but it needs some sort of “lip” or something to keep items on the shelf because with having to open & close the oven door the items are moving & falling off the shelf on to the top of the stove. Can’t really keep anything on the shelf. Very disappointed. Keeping it but just adding small decorative items that I can use double sided tape on the bottom of the item so it sticks to the shelf.

I frequently would have things slide off and sometimes land in whatever I was cooking.I received this today and it looks like it is part of my stove. It is the exact length and the stainless steel is a match. It is sturdy. It does not slip or rock. It was incredibly easy to install. It has magnets underneath and just snaps on. I took it out of the box and it was installed in a minute. There is plenty of room for spices, cooking oils, and more. I am thinking about flipping it around so the “backsplash” of the shelf is in front. Then I could place a cookbook, iPad, or my phone up there to follow a recipe. This is definitely a wise purchase!
